MeridStreet ("MeridStreet", "we", "us", or "our") operates a market-intelligence web platform that combines a live global news feed, a 3D global events map, market data, an economic calendar, intelligence terminals for global macro, maritime chokepoints and financial networks, a portfolio watchlist, and an AI assistant ("Ask MeridStreet AI") with associated AI features. Together these are referred to as the "Service".
This Privacy Policy applies to information we process when you visit or use the Service, whether or not you hold an account. It does not apply to third-party websites, data providers, or news publishers that we link to or aggregate, each of which operates under its own privacy policy.

The exact duration of persistent items depends on your browser; they remain until they expire or you clear them.
Some features rely on third-party providers: for example, font delivery, analytics, or embedded content from news and data sources. These providers may set their own cookies, which are governed by their respective policies, not ours. We do not control cookies set by third parties.
We use Google Analytics 4, a web-analytics service provided by Google, to measure aggregate, de-identified usage of the Service — such as page views, navigation paths, and general interactions — so we can understand traffic and improve MeridStreet. To do this, Google Analytics sets cookies and similar identifiers on your device and collects information about your visit, including a truncated version of your IP address.
We configure Google Analytics for measurement only: we do not use it to identify you personally, and we do not sell this data. Where consent is required (for example, in the EEA and the UK), analytics runs only with your consent, which you can decline or withdraw at any time as described above. Blocking or clearing storage may reset your preferences and disable features that depend on locally saved data.
The Service's AI features, "Ask MeridStreet AI", the what-if scenario and consequence ("what happens next") analysis, the daily brief and watchlist brief, and the AI outlooks in the intelligence terminals, generate analysis and answers in response to the prompts you submit or the item you are viewing. When you use them, your prompt (and relevant context, such as the market, story, or country in view, drawn from the platform's own data) is processed by our AI provider to produce a response. When you use a feature grounded to your watchlist, such as the impact feed's "what happens next" or the watchlist brief, the stock symbols and names on your watchlist are included in that context so the analysis can speak to those holdings. This processing does not include your account credentials or the private data of other users.

We share personal information only in the limited circumstances below, and never sell it:
The Service aggregates news, market data, and event information from third-party publishers and data providers. That content is subject to the terms and privacy policies of its originating sources, over which we have no control.
Our Service may contain links to external sites. Following such a link takes you outside MeridStreet, and we are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites. We encourage you to review their policies before providing any information.
We keep personal information only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy: including to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
Retention periods vary by data type and context. When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it. Preferences held in your browser remain until you clear them or your browser removes them.
We use technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal information: including encryption in transit, access controls, and monitoring. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You use the Service and transmit information to us at your own risk.

MeridStreet does not sell or share (as those terms are defined under California law) the personal information of any user, including California residents, and has not done so in the preceding 12 months.

Some browsers offer "Do Not Track" (DNT) signals and Global Privacy Control (GPC) settings. Because there is no common industry standard for DNT, we treat a recognised GPC signal as a valid request to opt out of any sale or sharing where applicable law requires. Since we do not sell or share personal information for advertising, our practices already align with these controls.
MeridStreet operates globally, and your information may be processed in countries other than your own, where data-protection laws may differ. Where we transfer personal data across borders, we use appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) to protect it in line with this policy and applicable law.
The Service is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 16 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.
