UCBs asked to join NUCFDC for tech support, RBI is proactive towards sector: Amit Shah
The Union Minister Amit Shah has asked Urban Cooperative Banks (UCBs) to join the National Unified Credit Facility and Deposit Insurance Corporation (NUCFDC) for technical support. This move aims to strengthen the UCBs, which are primarily based in four states - Maharashtra, Gujarat, Goa, and Karnataka, accounting for 70% of the total. By providing technical support, the RBI is being proactive in addressing the challenges faced by these banks, which could have a positive impact on the overall banking sector and economy.
